Gwynedd Valley is a community located in Lower Gwynedd Township, Pennsylvania. Gwynedd (meaning"White Fields") Township was originally settled by Welsh Quakers in 1698, and was named such due to the snow that blanketed the land when the first arrived there. In 1891, Gwynedd was split into Lower Gwynedd Township and Upper Gwynedd Township. As of 2010, Lower Gwynedd has a population of 11,405 residents.
